PLS, Inc.

Professional Land Surveyors, Issaquah's largest surveying and mapping firm, is a woman-owned, certified Small Business. We are SCS-certified with King County, and the Port of Seattle, and WBE-certified for City of Seattle projects.

We are dedicated to providing our clients with the most responsive, innovative and highest quality surveying and mapping services in the Pacific Northwest. We offer our clients the resources of 3 licensed professional land surveyors, supported by a seasoned staff of over a dozen technical and administrative personnel.

For maximum efficiency our firm has invested in the latest technology in conventional, reflectorless and robotic electronic total stations and automated field data collection; we utilize Virtual Reference GPS systems, 3-D laser scanning, precise digital leveling, GPS-referenced sonar for bathymetric surveys, and the current software in computer drafting.

We understand that many of our clients may not fully understand what surveying and mapping services they may need or may be required. Our staff members are familiar with the agency approval requirements for short plats, formal plats, boundary line adjustments, ALTA surveys, and FEMA Elevation Certificate surveys, just to name a few. We work with you to explain the process and your options, and to develop a customized approach that will help you get from confusion to completion in the most cost-effective manner. We will guide you through the process and help make those approvals as simple as possible.

Our firm also offers specialized expertise in surveying for tunnels and dams, and precise settlement and drift monitoring. We are familiar with a wide variety of conventional and automated monitoring systems and methods capable of providing defensible solutions for dam, railway, bridge, utility and structural monitoring projects. We have served as technical advisors for several Sound Transit tunnel projects, and on a variety of King County and other agency projects. Our staff members regularly provide presentations on tunneling and settlement monitoring at seminars and conferences including the biennial Rapid Excavation and Tunneling Conference (RETC).
