Lorinda J. MacManiman - Principal/Contracts Administrator

Lindy has over 30 years of experience in cartography, surveying and mapping for a variety of oil exploration companies and for the past 20 years at surveying and engineering firms in the Puget Sound area. She is the principal and majority owner of PLS, Inc. and was honored in 2009 by the Land Surveyors' Association of Washington as their Associate Surveyor of the Year.

Ben Petersen - PLS, Director of Surveys/Principal

Ben is a licensed professional land surveyor in Washington and Oregon with over 30 years of survey and mapping experience throughout the Pacific Northwest. His breadth of experience includes geodetic control, route surveys, GPS, topographic mapping, cadastral and boundary surveys, flood studies, bathymetry, and construction surveys. He has managed the surveys for such notable and technically challenging projects as the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel, Seattle Monorail, West Seattle Bridge and numerous dams and tunnels. He is an acknowledged expert in tunnel surveys, and settlement and drift measurements, and has served as a technical adviser / expert to Sound Transit and King County / Metro with regard to soft-earth tunneling and settlement of high-rise structures. He frequently provides presentations on those subjects at local, State and national seminars and conferences including the Rapid Excavation and Tunneling Conference (RETC). He is a past-President of the Land Surveyors' Association of Washington (LSAW), a two-time recipient of their Award of Merit, was honored as their 2007 Surveyor of the Year and in 2010 was the first-ever recipient of their Distinguished Surveyor Award. He shares his expertise each year as an instructor in LSAW's Career Advancement Program. In addition to LSAW, he is a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) and the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME).


Kurt A. Parcher, PLS - Survey Project Manager

Kurt is a licensed professional land surveyor in Washington with over 15 years of field survey, records research, survey calculations and CAD drafting experience on a wide variety of survey and mapping projects. Training and certifications include Computer Programming, Knapp College; Surveying Engineering Technology and CAD Drafting, Renton Technical College; and 40 hr. hazardous waste certification.

Britt P. McKenzie - CAD Drafter

BA from the University of Washington and graduate of the Land Surveying program at Renton Technical College. Experienced CAD drafter familiar with the use of Autodesk LDD and Civil 3D to produce topographic, Record of Survey, ALTA and many other types of digital survey maps.

Michael J. DuBray - Field Survey Technician I

Graduate of the Applied Science / Survey and Mapping program at Denver Institute of Technology with over 20 years of field survey. Experienced in field and office survey calculations and CAD drafting using Autodesk.

Erica Morris, L.S.I.T. - Field Survey Technician II

Graduate of the Land Surveying program at Renton Technical College. Field survey technician with 6 years experience using conventional and robotic total stations, RTK GPS and digital leveling systems for topographic mapping, boundary survey, construction staking and many other types of survey projects. Certified by the State of Washington as a Land Surveyor in Training. Erica is also the Treasurer of the North Puget Sound Chapter of the Land Surveyors' Association of Washington
